Job Title : Project Engineer Job Description
As a Project Engineer, you will oversee all engineering aspects of assigned projects, from concept through completion. You will act as a technical leader, collaborating with Project Managers, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Field teams to ensure designs meet customer specifications, adhere to schedule requirements, and remain within budget constraints. This position is ideal for an engineer who takes pride in delivering precise, buildable designs and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate as a core member of cross-functional project teams, including Project Management, Purchasing, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Field Operations.
- Own and manage all engineering-related activities on assigned projects, such as engineering schedules, deliverables, design scope, change tracking, engineering budgets, and change orders.
- Develop, review, and evaluate conveyor and material handling system designs.
- Interface directly with customers, vendors, and suppliers to review requirements and address questions.
- Perform engineering design evaluations and execute project work under the direction of the Project Engineering Lead.
- Review customer specifications and ensure designs adhere to all contractual and technical requirements.
- Provide technical support throughout the engineering, fabrication, and installation phases.
- Produce system and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and / or other approved drafting tools.
- Review drawings produced by others for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
Essential Skills
Experience in project management and project engineering.Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of 3D CAD tools.Ability to take initiative to drive projects and teams forward.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply creativity and sound judgment.Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating work with other engineers is preferred.Additional Skills & Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline.Familiarity with standard engineering concepts, practices, and procedures, preferably within the material handling or conveyor industry.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project schedules and delivery expectations.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $138258.00 / yr.
