Substitute Teacher

Cape HenryCollegiate a leading independent coeducational PK-12 day school inVirginia Beach invites candidates to apply for substitute teaching positions.

Position Duties (include but are not limited to) :

• Teaching students across multiple disciplines encouraging each child to reach his / her potential
• Supervision and safety of children at all times of the day including arrival recess lunchtime and dismissal
• Assisting students with social / emotional learning support and guiding them to make good decisions with emphasis on treating all students with dignity and respect
• Assuming full responsibility for the class in teachers absence
• Maintaining professional relationships with all members of the school community

Education and Experience

Essential requirements include a Bachelors Degree and the ability to support the Schools mission and core values. Applicants must be flexible and have a positive nurturing approach to working with students. Past experience working in schools is preferred.
