DSP Software Engineer

Develop and implement cutting-edge signal processing technologies alongside a small, elite team of researchers. Your work on large-scale software systems will directly contribute to pioneering national defense and aerospace initiatives in Monterey, CA.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust, large-scale software systems critical to advanced signal processing applications.
• Develop and optimize data structures and algorithms to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Apply defensive coding practices and utilize revision control systems to ensure software integrity and collaborative development.
• Create and maintain software components across the stack, including GUI design, database interactions (SQL), and core processing modules.
• Conduct unit and regression testing to validate software functionality and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Provide external support for deployed software systems, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Collaborate closely with researchers to translate cutting-edge signal processing concepts into production-grade software.

What You Bring to the Role

B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.

Minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience (5+ years preferred).

Must possess an active TS / SCI security clearance.

Demonstrated proficiency with Linux, C / C++, SQL, and Python in a software development context.

Preferred : Experience with GUI design, unit / regression testing, and revision control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred : Knowledge of statistical signal processing and communications systems.

Preferred : A strong foundation in software engineering principles, including defensive coding and algorithm design.
