The City of Peoria has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join their Site Development Division within the Development and Engineering Department. This position will perform engineering reviews of development projects including, but not limited to, residential subdivisions, multi-family developments, commercial, industrial and capital improvement projects. Other duties may include completing related engineering tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform engineering reviews of development projects to ensure compliance with code and design standards.
• Complete development engineering reviews including, but not limited to : Grading and Drainage Plans, Water and Sewer Plans, Paving Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Signing and Striping Plans, Streetlight Plans, Landscaping Plans, Streetlight and Maintenance Improvement Districts (MID & SLID), Preliminary and Final Plats, Drainage Reports, Water and Sewer Reports, and / or Soils Reports.
• Coordinate with both internal and external customers to review and process development projects from planning to permitting and the inspection stage.
• Attend meetings and clearly communicate engineering requirements to developers, engineers, planners, architects, city officials and the public.
