Position Overview :

  • Ofinno is seeking an accomplished and strategic Executive Director of Licensing to join our team.
  • This leadership role will be instrumental in driving the growth of our IP licensing business, with a focus on maximizing patent royalty revenue across wireless technology markets.
  • As the Executive Director of Licensing at Ofinno, you will lead high-value licensing negotiations, guide cross-functional teams, and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • You will be responsible for structuring and executing complex IP transactions globally, managing relationships with major technology partners, and shaping Ofinno’s position as a licensing thought leader.
  • This role requires a unique combination of legal, business, and technical acumen, as well as the vision to enhance our licensing strategies and operational excellence.

    • You will work closely with Ofinno’s leadership team to deliver licensing programs that support Ofinno’s strategic objectives.   Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the identification and evaluation of target licensees, patents for assertion, and negotiation approaches.
  • Develop and drive licensing strategies to optimize IP monetization, enforce IP rights, and grow revenue across multiple technology verticals.
  • Lead end-to-end licensing negotiations.
  • Lead the review and structuring of complex licensing agreements and ensure post deal compliance.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Contribute to improving licensing operational models, templates, and governance processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Represent Ofinno at industry conferences to bring awareness to Ofinno as a thought leader in patent licensing.
  • Mentor and guide cross-functional teams to achieve licensing and business development objectives.

    • Qualifications :

  • J.D. from an accredited law school required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in patent licensing, IP transactions, or related fields, with demonstrated leadership in complex negotiations.
  • Experience with standard-essential patent (SEP) licensing, particularly in the wireless field.
  • Strong knowledge of licensing law and SEP valuation methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage confidently at C-suite and senior executive levels.
