    Job Summary for Assembler :

    Assembles a variety of products. Fits and / or assembles, adjusts and repairs subassemblies and major assemblies. Job complexity ranges from simple, repetitive tasks to fairly repetitive but difficult tasks depending upon product. Requires use of a wide range of hand and power tools both electrical and mechanical.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Assembler :

  • Review work orders or blueprints to ensure work are performed according to specifications.
  • Visually or metrically inspects assembly for conformance to instructions.
  • Repeats actions for all of the same product type each time assembled.
  • Follows oral / written instructions to connect two or more parts of a product.

    • Non-essential Duties for Assembler :

  • Communicates with supervisor and other assemblers.
  • Assists in other production areas as needed.
  • Accurately completes daily labor card and submits at conclusion of shift.
  • Follows all safety procedures.

    • Requirements :

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Assembler :

  • Reads and accurately interprets blueprints
  • Possesses basic technical knowledge of hand and power tools and their safe operation
  • Able to position and manipulate parts and assemblies with the hands demonstrating manual dexterity
  • Able to follow directions precisely and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to comprehend and initiate solutions to complications as they arise.

    • Experience and Education for Assembler :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 2 years manufacturing experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Special Requirements for Assembler :

  • Machine shop work environment; dust, grease and metal shavings common.
  • Requires the use of the following personal protective equipment when on the shop floor :
  • Safety glasses, steel toed shoes / boots.

    • Must Be Able To :

  • Work safely in a fast paced environment
  • Work overtime, including weekends as requested.
  • Must be able to lift 50lb to 100lb repetitively.

    • Other Duties for Assembler :
