Corporate Development Counsel

A company is looking for a Corporate Development Counsel to manage legal aspects of M&A and strategic investment activities.

Key Responsibilities

Structure, draft, and negotiate transaction documents for acquisitions and investments

Lead the legal due diligence process and summarize findings for stakeholders

Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Corporate Development team and manage outside counsel

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with active state bar membership

At least 4 years of relevant legal experience focused on M&A

Experience in drafting and negotiating complex transaction agreements

Preferred experience at a law firm in M&A / Corporate practice or in-house at a tech company

Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and securities law
