Our direct client has an opening for a Business Analyst 10964-1
This position is up to 9 months, with the option of extension, and is in Columbia, SC
Corp to Corps are NOT allowed for this client. W2 Only.
A writing sample may be included but as a separate attachment in that section with the resume.
The business analyst will be responsible for working on project teams with project managers and other otis staff or independently to:
- Document processes and procedures for various areas of OTIS or for projects with state agencies.
- Analyze processes and propose improvements in support of continuous improvement activities.
- Conduct requirements gathering, elicitation, analysis and management for projects.
- Conduct needs assessments or gap analyses for projects.
- Support stakeholder management with project managers.
- Lead testing and solution/product validation in the software development lifecycle (sdlc) when needed.
- Plan for testing activities.
- Lead testing activities.
- Track and manage testing activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
- Ability to take complicated processes and document them in MS Visio or MS Word
- Requirements gathering, elicitation, and documentation
- Analysis of processes and continuous improvement
- Testing of systems and bug/defect tracking
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
- Ability to identify, map, and support business processes
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and requirements
- Strong collaborator and strong ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work at a high-volume and fast pace
- Support regulatory compliance projects
- Strong schedule management and planning skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of related work experience

- INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS ANALYSIS (IIBA)
- Ability to analyze and document, business and system processes using various methods and tools. Yes 1 Advanced Currently Using 4 - 6 Years
