Greenhouse Coordinator

Job Title

Responsible for growing and propagating seasonal annuals, native flowering perennials, grasses, trees, and specialty plants as needed; creates decorative plantings for special events. Manage the landscape greenhouses and related equipment (irrigation and plumbing, pumps, wet wall, basic electric); apply chemicals, fertilizer, and organic products as needed to control pests and disease. Keeps inventory of plants and sales. Assists Horticulturist and Installation crew in landscape construction, renovations, installs, and green roof maintenance; hand waters landscapes on campus; inspects and treats all growing areas for weeds, plant fertility requirements and possible insect issues. Complete routing paperwork to include weekly electronic time reports, daily labor reports, vehicle usage log, and other UT related electronic forms; complete related trainings and licensing requirements as needed. Driving University owned vehicles to job sites is required for most functions. Clean and maintain University vehicles and equipment. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy : UTS157 Section 2.5.4. Other related functions as assigned. Works overtime in support of special events. Tends to greenhouses during some weekends and holidays as needed.
