The Assistant Program Director in Early Intervention (EI) supports the efforts of the Program Director to ensure the program adheres to regulations and requirements of licensing bodies and funding sources including staffing, documentation, and service provision. The Assistant Program Director maintains communication with Department of Public Health (DPH) Early Intervention Division staff as required by DPH. The Assistant Program Director provides direct supervision of staff that may include team leaders, supervisors, office manager and other staff as needed. The Assistant Program Director works directly with children and families as needed.
Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Early Intervention program with the following:
- Assisting the Program Director in oversight and management of direct service work and productivity of staff on the EI team. While also Facilitating staff meetings, as needed.
- Assisting the Program Director to ensure all staff are appropriately trained in DPH Operational Standards and relevant policies and procedures. While ensuring DPH timelines are followed with respect to referral to IFSP and transition activities.
- Providing consultation, clinical supervision, education, and training to program staff.
- Assisting the Program Director to ensure individuals served documentation is complete and meets DPH and Program standards including Individualized Family Treatment Plans, Service Sheets, Prior Written notices, and consents.
- Providing direct and in-field supervision to EI staff. and also Maintaining Supervision notes according to agency policies and procedures. In addition to supporting staff and addressing staff performance issues, as needed.
