Unit Overview : Become part of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you will provide care to a diverse patient population, including :
Post-operative care for craniotomy patients.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Care for stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.Medical overflow cases.This role will give you exposure to cutting-edge neurosurgical techniques through the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII).

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.Anticipate and respond to changes in patient conditions, coordinating with the healthcare team.Implement safety strategies to mitigate patient risks and enhance learning opportunities.Coordinate discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach and evidence-based practices.Evaluate patient and unit outcomes, participating in quality improvement initiatives.Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration among team members.Promote a culture of safety and participate in addressing patient safety events.Engage in professional development and mentor others.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Current Registered Nurse license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Education Required :
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.Experience Required :
At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
Ability to provide holistic care with a patient-focused perspective.Effective critical thinking and independent decision-making skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficient in electronic medical records and communication systems.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
