Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Bellingham, WA 98225. This is a 6-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Name : Medical Assistant

Location : Bellingham, WA 98225.

Duration : 6-month Contract (Possibilities of extension)

Pay rate : $25-29 / hr. On W2 / Pay Rate is based on experience

Schedule : Typically, 8 AM - 5 PM / Mon – Fri (4 to 5 days / wk. depending on 8 or 10 hr. shifts)

Job Responsibilities :

• Room patients, obtain vitals, update medical history, and prepare individuals for provider examinations.
• Assist providers during exams and minor in-office procedures.
• Administer medications and injections under provider direction.
• Perform point-of-care testing such as blood glucose, urinalysis, and rapid strep.
• Manage patient flow, coordinate schedules, and arrange follow-up appointments.
• Document all patient encounters, treatments, and tasks in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Handle incoming phone calls, patient questions, and prescription refill requests.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and clinical quality protocols.
