Creating and updating plant 2D layouts

Managing plants Vault layout and drawing system

Engineering lead for plant innovation efforts

Engineering lead for plant asset management process

Responsibilities

What you will do ...

• Perform new or updated layout drawings to support plant engineering and maintenance projects
• Use software such as AutoCAD and Vault to evaluate the feasibility of designs for assembly and machining operations
• Advise plant team on layout standards to support Global Ford Production System and Manufacturing Engineering requirements (safety ergonomics flow etc.)
• Maintain Sterling Plants layout machine and electrical drawings in Fords Vault drawing management system
• Be a knowledge resource for locating legacy drawings and prints
• Support efforts to improve organization of Sterlings files within Vault
• Act as one of the plant innovation team leaders lead team meetings; network with other regional innovation teams and the corporate ATP team; publicize the plants innovation efforts.
• Provide support for Plant Innovation projects within the realm of 3D Printing Digitalization Analytics and others.
• Asset management - lead the annual verification process and manage the asset movement and financial process
• Lead document management process for asset transfers disposals equipment sales etc.
• Be the Central Engineering lead for the asset MCRP audit process; provide documents and support
• Lead ad-hoc Plant Engineering assignments such as creating / ordering signs and displays supporting office layout changes plant event prep etc.

Lead 6-Sigma / DMAIC projects to support and document continuous improvement actions. Support other plant DMAIC projects

Qualifications

Youll have...

High SchoolDiploma or GED

1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment

Work well in a team setting

Proficient at creating 2D plant layout drawings

Effective at leading and facilitating

Even better you may have...

Bachelor of Science / Engineering

3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment

Excellent communication

Innovative and Continuous Improvement Mindset
