Forklift Operator (Sit-Down) Walford, IA
Shift: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (Overtime available)
Pay Rate: $19.00 / hour
Status: Temp-to-Hire (3-month)

Role Summary
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of merchandise. You will load and unload trailers, manage inventory counts, and ensure all food safety and productivity standards are met. This role requires a high level of documentation accuracy and a "safety-first" mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking: Prepare shipments by ensuring the exact quantity and product types are staged and ready.
- Loading/Unloading: Safely manage inbound and outbound shipments with high accuracy.
- Inventory Management: Locate and re-locate merchandise to optimize warehouse space; maintain precise records of all movements.
- Equipment Safety: Operate sit-down forklifts and slip sheet attachments safely to prevent injury or product damage; report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Facility Care: Assist with warehouse cleanliness, sanitation, pest control, and strict adherence to food safety practices.
- Communication: Coordinate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet daily goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 35 years of forklift experience clearly documented on your resume. A history of overall job longevity is required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 5060 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and frequently mount/dismount the forklift.
- Must pass a Physical, Drug Test, and CRT (Stress Test).
- Background: Must pass a 7-year background check.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Skills: Basic math and PC skills; strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities regarding space utilization.
Work Environment
- Operate in a warehouse with temperatures ranging from 40F to 90F.
- Environment may be dusty or humid; odors and food allergens (soy and wheat) are present.
