[job_card.job_description]Partnering with business leaders (cost center owners) to provide and analyze actuals, including forecast variances, as well as develop and load forecast updates.Partnering with Accounting to research actuals and submit accruals.Leading headcount reporting and analysis.Identifying and driving opportunities for process improvements and workflow automation to scale the finance team’s bandwidth. Strong sense of curiosity that drives continuous improvement in knowledge and skills. Proven ability to identify and drive opportunities for innovative solutions and process improvement. Problem solving orientation—focus on both understanding a problem and developing solutions. Proven ability to clearly explain sophisticated finance topics to non-finance business stakeholders. Sophisticated Excel skills. Proficiency with Power Query, Power BI, and / or workflow automation tools a significant plus. Experience with Hyperion a plus. 2+ years of experience in corporate finance or a related field. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required (focus in finance or a quantitative field preferred).
Responsibilities
The role has two core components. One is supporting business partner initiatives through :
- Analytical support across functions, including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing, and R&D (both hardware and software engineering).
- Pulling and analyzing large data sets to identify business risks and opportunities, driving both critical metric reporting as well as ad hoc research and modeling.
- Serving as a power user of assigned financial software applications, including establishing and refining data models (including in Power BI) and other tools that transform large datasets into actionable insights.
- Developing subject-matter expertise in operations finance, including standard costs, cost variances, drivers, and supply chain.
- Increasingly over time, demonstrating business understanding to develop financial and analytical frameworks to help gain business insights and see around corners.
