Texas Licensed Clinical DRG Auditor

A company is looking for a Clinical DRG Auditor who is responsible for performing DRG validation reviews of medical records to ensure accuracy in coding and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform audits of medical record documentation to determine the accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes

Assist management in training new Coders or Clinical DRG Auditors through monitoring and feedback

Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and complete required continuing education units (CEUs) for licensure and certification

Required Qualifications

Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the U.S. and state of primary residence

At least one relevant coding certification (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CCDS, CPC)

3+ years of clinical experience in an inpatient hospital setting

2+ years of MS DRG / APR DRG coding or auditing experience with expert knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines

Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills and typing, including Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools
