Vangarden Cannabis is seeking a Quality Specialist to support quality assurance and inventory control across our facility. This Monday-Friday, 7 : 00 AM-3 : 30 PM role offers a competitive pay range of $22-$24 per hour , along with comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, a Health Savings Account, and Paid Time Off. You'll take on a range of responsibilities focused on maintaining product standards, improving processes, and keeping accurate documentation, including SOPs, training materials, batch records, and cleaning logs.
What You'll Do
You'll monitor workflow efficiency, identify issues, and recommend improvements. Your work will involve verifying that incoming materials and finished products meet specifications, maintaining cleanliness logs, and communicating issues promptly to the Manufacturing and Quality Supervisor. Daily responsibilities include quality inspections, bulk flower evaluations, moisture monitoring, and coordinating with the Post Processing team to ensure materials are handled and transferred correctly.
You'll manage moisture readings and environmental controls, maintain schedules to meet packaging and fulfillment demands, create METRC manifests after QC checks, and relocate product as needed. You'll also prepare and submit test samples, complete Chain of Custody forms, deliver samples to the lab, and organize COAs.
Inventory responsibilities include routine audits, addressing discrepancies, verifying critical control points, and supporting process improvements. You'll need to learn new software quickly, and you may occasionally be needed outside regular hours during time-sensitive situations.
What You Bring
You have 1-4 years of experience and strong METRC knowledge. You're detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. The role requires standing and walking for long periods, working on concrete floors, climbing ladders or stairs, kneeling or crouching as needed, and lifting 10-20 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally). Clear and respectful communication with peers and management is essential.
