DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will collaborate with state and federal veterinarians, health professionals, and various stakeholders to conduct epidemiological investigations aimed at assessing domestic animal exposure, identifying disease sources and risk factors, and evaluating the potential spread of diseases like rabies and avian influenza. Your expertise in Pennsylvania's rabies law and the rabies virus will enable you to effectively communicate relevant laws and disease epidemiology to stakeholders and health professionals, while also conducting comprehensive rabies investigations. The work you perform will ensure adherence to Bureau laws and regulations, help mitigate regulatory disease events, and support the implementation of domestic animal disease control programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
Reporting location : Region 5 Office, 3001 Fairway Drive, Altoona, PA 16602
This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
