Database Developer III

Responsibilities

include :

• Participate in the development of SQL-centric SSIS packages and IBM DataStage ETLs for our enterprise data warehouse.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand complex business rules & processes.
• Analyze technical specifications and source-to-target mappings for new & existing data sources.
• Create and update ETLs for the enterprise data warehouse.
• Create and maintain SQL stored procedures in support of application databases.
• Perform data validation for data flow processes.
• Demonstrate solutions to non-technical stakeholders for acceptance at sprint review.
• May participate in the development of application database objects.

Here's what you need :

At least 4 years of experience as a Database Developer or a Data Engineer.

At least 4 years of database development using SQL to include SSIS packages and ETL execution experience.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.

Effective verbal communication skills : willingness to present information and respond to questions.

Bonus points if you have :

T-SQL expertise

Prior DataStage experience

Knowledge of military / DOD-related data operations and procedures a plus.

Security Clearance :

Eligibility to obtain a DoD-issued, secret-level security clearance, is a must.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree or, at least 7 years of active experience as a Database Developer or Data Engineer.
