Wrap displays using heat shrink torch. Document weights, crated weights, and dimensions of equipment. Label crates with proper required details. List component and unit serial numbers for all pertinent items and displays. / ppLearn how to read and follow effective loading diagrams. Become certified to operate cranes and other lifting equipment. Work unsupervised safely and effectively. Must be able to follow instructions. Need to be able to work in a team atmosphere as well as individually. Must be flexible to help in other areas of the factory as needed. / ppDaily perform 5S and other Lean tasks. Become knowledgeable of company policies and procedures. / ppQualifications To be considered for the Shipping Equipment Handler role we require the following : / pulliHigh School Diploma / GED required. / liliRequired to work overtime when overtime shifts are scheduled. / liliRegularly and reliably work the scheduled hours. / liliGood communication skills. / liliAbility to learn quickly and successfully participate as a member of a team. / liliAbility to work with minimum supervision. / liliEffectively exercise discretion and independent judgment. / liliComputer skills with Keyboard skills required. Prefer experience with Excel, Word, Microsoft Office. / liliPrevious experience with material handling equipment such as telehandler, overhead crane, and forklift preferred. / liliWear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include safety glasses, safety shoes / boots, hearing protection, and electrostatic discharge wear. You will be provided with the PPE for the required areas. / liliPhysical requirements include the ability to : / liulliLift and carry heavy (up to 50 lbs.) and / or awkward items. Be able to stand for the full shift. Must have the ability to work on a Flow Line keeping up with the pace of work and moving from one position to another on a minutes notice. Kneeling to nail crates as well as climbing trailers and ladders are necessary duties. / liliAbility to use power tools and saws as well as nail guns. Work with some odors (paint, solvent). / liliDistinguish and identify wire colors. / liliAbility to travel by air and ground. Valid drivers license. Must be able to meet and maintain Daktronics Driving Eligibility Requirements.
