Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Tech / Media

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Tech / Media in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication to everyone on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related situations as needed. Pay Rate : $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Tuesday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Wednesday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Thursday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sunday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents or suspicious activity according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to address security-related concerns as they arise.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location, supporting a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.
  • Document all patrols, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
