Full Time Dispatcher

Position Summary

This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area.

Essential Functions

Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries

Manage daily delivery schedule for drivers

Lead and mentor dispatching staff

Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts

Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously

Monitor e-mail and communication between team members

Monitor web portals

Solicit freight from customers

Create loads in dispatch system

Divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor Degree preferred

5 years of dispatching experience

Excellent conflict resolution and skills

Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
