Metrology Technician

Location : Tampa, FL (On-site)

What you will do

Perform scheduled calibrations and minor adjustments on instruments used in production, utilities, and labs.

Document calibration results using certified standards and software, ensuring compliance with GMP and GDP principles.

Troubleshoot instrument issues and support deviation investigations.

Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with vendors and supervise contracted calibration services.

Assist in updating SOPs and maintenance plans to improve reliability and efficiency.

Follow all safety and environmental protocols while performing calibration tasks.

What we are looking for

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade school or related internship preferred.

0-2 years of experience in calibration or maintenance; pharma / GMP experience is a plus.

Basic understanding of calibration principles and traceability requirements.

Ability to work with tools and test equipment and perform troubleshooting under supervision.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.

Ability to work in manufacturing environments requiring PPE and occasional weekend or after-hours support.

Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and access elevated platforms or confined spaces as needed.
