About the Role

We are seeking a highly accurate, detail-oriented, and organized AP / AR Clerk to join our accounting team. This position primarily focuses on Accounts Payable (AP), with additional responsibilities in Accounts Receivable (AR) including applying payments and light collection calls.

This role processes approximately 280 customer invoices per month, so precision, efficiency, and strong follow-through are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a product-based accounting environment and can communicate clearly with vendors, customers, and internal teams.

You will work closely with the Accounting Manager and support general accounting functions, financial reporting, and month-end close. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a fast-paced, product-driven company.

Key Responsibilities

Process AP transactions including vendor invoices, statements, and payments

Manage AR functions such as applying payments and making light collection calls

Reconcile vendor accounts and customer receipts

Assist with invoice processing for ~280 customers monthly

Support the Accounting Manager with audits, reporting, and special projects

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Perform month-end tasks including reconciliations and report preparation

Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and customers to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience

Must have AP / AR experience

Experience in a product-based environment required

Education

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (not required)

Technical Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and formulas (required)

Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise is a significant plus (training available)

Ability to use accounting systems and related financial tools

Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities

Well-spoken with strong communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
