A company is looking for a SQL Server Data Engineer to support a homegrown VBA-based application and optimize SQL Server databases.
Key Responsibilities
Document the existing MS Access / VBA application architecture and workflows
Optimize and refresh SQL Server databases, including index tuning and query optimization
Provide ongoing maintenance support for the Star Tracker application and prepare for migration to Snowflake
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience with MS Access, VBA, and SQL Server development and support
Strong SQL Server expertise in stored procedures, performance tuning, and data modeling
Experience in documenting legacy systems and reverse engineering application logic
Ability to interpret and simplify complex VBA and Access structures
Strong understanding of data architecture principles and migration considerations
