We are seeking a New York State Certified Athletic Trainer to support a wide range of athletes—high school, collegiate, and semi-pro—through high-quality injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
As a Certified Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care and support to athletes across multiple community institutions :
Deliver comprehensive sports medicine services : injury prevention, recognition, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency care per NATA Board of Certification standards.
Provide onsite coverage for practices, games, tournaments, and sports-related events , including occasional weekends, evenings, and team travel.
Develop individualized treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and strength / conditioning programs.
Prepare athletes for treatment, ensure proper taping, bracing, and equipment fitting.
Communicate effectively with athletes, families, coaches, athletic directors, and physicians—always maintaining confidentiality.
Track and maintain detailed injury logs, medical records, statistics, and post-injury follow-up documentation .
Coordinate appointments with physicians, rehab scheduling teams, and office managers.
Participate in community outreach, summer camps, EMS education , and program development initiatives.
Assist in onboarding for new contracts and support program growth through statistics and performance monitoring.
Respond confidently during crisis situations and follow best-practice safety protocols.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required.
Current Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
New York State Athletic Trainer Certification (or ability to obtain).
CPR certification (required within 90 days of hire).
1–2 years of experience preferred; new graduates welcome .
Strong interpersonal communication and a passion for athlete-centered care.
Compensation & Benefits

$10,000 sign-on bonus paid across six installments over 36 months (with relocation flexibility for the first installment).
Salary range : $55,000 – $88,608 , depending on experience.
