About the Role
Southern Cancer Center is seeking a compassionate and organized Patient Service Coordinator to join our team at the Springhill Hospital office. This front-line role is essential to ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for our patients and their families. You’ll be the first point of contact, responsible for registration, scheduling, and communication between patients and clinical staff.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors professionally and promptly
- Register patients, verify insurance, and collect co-pays
- Schedule appointments and provide clear instructions and details
- Answer and direct incoming calls; relay messages accurately
- Maintain patient records and update demographic information
- Support administrative tasks including filing and supply management
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and uphold confidentiality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized lobby area
- Assist with other duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior receptionist or office experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelMust complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of hireStrong adaptability, commitment to quality, and customer service focusPhysical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and communicate effectivelyManual dexterity and ability to lift up to 40 lbsRequires corrected vision and hearingMust be present during regular business hoursWork Environment
