The Trust is seeking an engineer for a wide range of conservation projects, including wetland restoration, erosion control, animal waste management, and agricultural water management. The individual should like to travel, work outside, and have excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills. The ideal candidate would be a hands-on people person with a common-sense approach to day-to-day problem-solving. Most of the work will include supervising project construction and collecting project data, including topographic surveys, for restoration plans. Other responsibilities include assisting with preliminary planning and plans of operation, reviewing project designs and specifications, and conducting project as-builts. The position will work closely with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), so prior experience working with NRCS is preferred. The position will be located in Gainesville, FL. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required. Preferred specialization is Agricultural, Biological, Civil, Environmental, or a similar field.
