Bristol Hospice Lubbock is seeking volunteers to participate in our Birthday Celebration Program to honor our hospice patients on their special day. We are looking for kind, reliable volunteers to help bring joy, recognition, and comfort to patients through thoughtfully prepared birthday cards, gifts bags, and option in-person greetings. Your participation helps ensures every patient feels remembered and valued.
What You'll Do :
- Create or sign birthday cards with warm, uplifting messages
- Assemble birthday gift bags (small comfort items, crafts, treats - provided by our team)
- Deliver birthday bags / cards to patients' homes or care facilities
- Provide a brief, friendly visit to wish the patient and family
- Assist the Bristol Hospice team with tracking upcoming birthdays and preparing materials
- Help maintain organization of birthday supplies at the office
- Communicate updates through our volunteer documentation system
Who We're Looking For :
Compassionate individuals with a desire to serve hospice patientsVolunteers who are dependable and comfortable working independently or with othersCrafters, creative individuals, students, retirees, and community membersMust be at least 14 years old to apply, but 18 years old to visit directly with our patientsMust complete hospice volunteer onboarding and training (provided at no cost)Must pass background check and TB screening (standard for all hospice volunteers)Time Commitment & Scheduling :
