Sr. Analyst - IT Logistics Sys

Job Summary

This position is responsible for configuring, supporting, and maintaining the logistics systems located at the distribution centers, mixing centers, and important centers within the organization from both a project and operational perspective.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform and / or coordinate configuration changes for applications in the area of responsibility.
• Define, analyze, and evaluate existing business functions and processes and make recommendations to management on opportunities for process improvements.
• Meet with business partners, project managers, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, and lead prioritization of build items.
• Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
• Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow; documents risks and identifies mitigation strategies.
• Participate in the execution of test cases as part of the Quality Assurance process.
• Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developer’s / project team. This includes creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the team.
• Review system design plans for reasonableness and fit with the business requirements.
• Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
• Provide orientation to end users for modifications to existing processes and new functionality.

Required Qualifications

Experience : 5-9 years in supporting WMS Systems, MHE Systems, RF Technology, Voice Technology in a retail environment. Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.

Education : Bachelor’s degree in the field of business administration, computer science, or management information systems. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
