SUMMARY : Assumes professional responsibility for providing learning experiences that develop in each student the skills attitudes and knowledge to meet / exceed core curriculum standards. Achieving academic excellence may require that the Technology teacher work collaboratively with other members of the school staff and parents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in various grade levels
• Arizona Elementary Teacher Certification
• Meets Criteria of Appropriately Certified
• Experience with effective technology teaching strategies in teaching software and hardware skills
• Strong technology skills in up-to-date computer software digital and social media; including word processing keyboarding database spreadsheet Web page development presentation digital video and audio editing merge processing and graphics applications.
• Current on new instructional technologies and their use and a willingness to continue to learn additional instructional technologies
• Knowledge of online assessments and skills needed to complete these assessments
• Knowledge of Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards across multiple grade levels and content areas
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Ability to obtain Computer Technology as an approved area

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

EVALUATION : Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provision of the Board policy or evaluation of professional personnel.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to read analyze and interpret education materials and programs; ability to write reports procedure manuals and correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of teachers students administration and the community.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

Ability to work with mathematical such as probability and statistical inference; ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
