About the Role
The Controller will serve as the top finance leader for the organization, overseeing accounting operations across multiple locations and leading a team of 8+ professionals. This role will be critical in managing financial reporting, optimizing the use of SAP, supporting audits and compliance, and partnering closely with operations leadership to ensure accurate cost accounting and performance visibility. The ideal candidate brings both strategic insight and hands-on leadership within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting function, including general ledger, cost accounting, fixed assets, AR / AP, and inventory accounting
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8+ finance professionals across multiple locations
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Manage internal controls, audit readiness, and financial compliance for all sites
- Optimize and leverage SAP to improve reporting accuracy and financial visibility
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to analyze margins, inventory, and production costs
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Lead financial integration and reporting for any new facility openings or expansions
- Provide regular reporting and strategic insights to executive leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred7+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience, including 3+ years in a leadership roleStrong background in manufacturing, preferably medical device or medical equipmentHands-on experience with SAP ERP in a multi-location environmentDeep understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and internal controlsStrong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
