Part Time Event Security Officer

The Part Time Event Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of ASM Global Oakland patrons, employees, and assets.

(Non-Exempt / Hourly / Union - Starting at $21.00 per hour.)

Valid California Guard Card Required.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Responds to routine and emergency calls for assistance and investigates incidents.
• Patrols the venue and parking lots.
• Searches guests and their personal belongings using walk through metal detectors, hand wands, pat down searches and bag checks.
• Checks credentials and tickets for access into restricted areas.
• Enforces building policies and reports violations.
• Engages in crowd management activities to ensure personal safety of guests and staff.
• Is knowledgeable of venue services and provides answers to guest questions.
• Interacts with guests, vendors and employees in a courteous and professional manner and complies with all legal and ethical instructions given by the Security Management team.
