Test Driver
The Test Driver, under the direction of Lead Driver / Facility Coordinator performs various driving tests on new vehicles not out in the public market.
Responsibilities
Role Summary
- Maintain and communicate to various staff members the current and future updated testing requirements.
- Assist with queries and issuing rechecks as needed.
- Successfully complete advanced driver training with a minimum of a C rating with trailer certification.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of vehicle functions e.g. ADAS, Charging, PDC, PLA, IPA, etc.
- Work directly with personnel providing daily in-person feedback and execute test requests.
- Exhibit knowledge of specific test requirements to perform duties under minimal supervision.
- Occasionally lead test drives to remote locations.
- Act as a mentor to new test drivers as requested.
- Demonstrate ability to provide precise documentation of test observations in both written and verbal formats.
Role Responsibilities

Gather all required testing information to share with all test drivers at the station.Participate in meetings with different Engineers, Station Coordinator and Driver Coordinator personnel regarding testing needs for vehicles are met.Provide the Station Coordinator and Driver Coordinator with updated testing requirements.Guide the communication process between the Driver Coordinator & Driver Group to report testing concerns.Consistent communication with Driver Coordinator & Driver Group.Assisting with addressing queries and issuing rechecks with assistance from the Driver Coordinator.Assist with special testing instructions from the Driver Coordinator that are not clear or need to be modified.Intensive testing on assigned vehicle daily.Qualifications
At least 1 year of test driving experience.Technical training in vehicle testing or field of AutomotiveAnalytical and conceptual thinking using logic and reason, creative and strategicCommunication skills interpersonal, presentation and writtenComputer savvy skilled in use of software / Engineering tools (ALPOS, ATP, VDS)Extensive knowledge of Microsoft ApplicationsResource managementPositive employee relations / team buildingDemonstrate expert knowledge of vehicle functions e.g. ADAS, Charging, PDC, PLA, IPA, etc.Continuous improvementSelf-organizedWork Flexibility
Work schedule is typically 40 hours per week.Daily driving and training as needed.Ability to work on and maneuver around vehicles.Available to work any shift.Ability to travel out of state and local for multi-day trips as needed.General Benefits :
