Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

We are seeking a LocumsPsychiatry Physician to provide part-time psychiatric care in San Jose, CA.This role involves performing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoingmedication management for developmentally disabled patients with co-occurringmental health disorders. The ideal candidate will be compassionate,detail-oriented, and experienced in both adult and/or child psychiatry.

Compensation: $300 Per hour depending upon experience

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for referred patients.
• Provide specialized psychiatric and medical services, including prescribing and monitoring controlled substances.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Deliver qualified, reimbursable services under Medicare, Medi-Cal, Regional Centers, County Mental Health, and other funding sources.
• Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance and case review meetings as needed.

Requirements:

• Active California Medical License (required).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult and/or Child Psychiatry (Certification must be obtained within 5 years of residency).
• Must see Pediatric Patients.
• Eligible for Medicare/Medi-Cal certification.
• Authorized to prescribe controlled substances.
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccination required, or approved medical/religious exemption.
