Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialized teaching opportunity is available for an educator skilled in supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students within a K-12 setting. This contract position weles professionals dedicated to fostering inclusive learning environments and enhancing educational access for students with hearing challenges.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver instruction tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across grades K-12
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Utilize assistive technologies and munication strategies to support student learning
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Provide support and resources to families and staff regarding DHH educational needs
  • Participate in professional development opportunities relevant to DHH education

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

  • Certification or licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or closely related field
  • Experience teaching K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Strong knowledge of munication modalities such as American Sign Language (ASL), lip reading, or auditory-oral techniques
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families
