Position DescriptionThe Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division provides comprehensive Hematology & Oncology care while educating students, residents and fellows. This includes diagnosing and treating a wide range of cancer and blood disorders and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Major/Essential Functions- Lead the division while ensuring collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics;
- Foster an environment of teamwork, respect and professionalism with the faculty, staff, and students;
- Provide clinical care through ambulatory clinics and inpatient services, including call schedule participation;
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for children and adolescents;
- Diagnose and treat a range of blood disorders and cancer in children and adolescents;
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans;
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide bedside teaching of residents, students and fellows while on clinical service and also participate in didactic instruction; and
- Develop scholarly activity and serve as mentor to researchers in the division.

Preferred Qualifications- Completion of a Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Board certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- TX Medical License.
- Experience in managing hematological disorders, including bleeding, clotting, platelet disorders and sickle cell disease.

Required Qualifications- Medical Doctor Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree (D.O.);
- In process of completing, a fellowship in Pediatric Hem/Onc.
- Eligibility or in the process of becoming board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
