Job Summary and Qualifications : As a Lead Patient Care Technician (PCT) / CNA you will deliver high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Here is some of what you can expect from being a PCT Lead with us :
You will work under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT's skills / training and the needs of the Department and performs or assists with more advanced procedures based on one or more achieved specialty certifications.You will help with ongoing training and / or precepting new and current employees.You will also be responsible for ensuring new processes, equipment, and other changes are communicated and / or taught to other PCTs.You will assist in the hiring process by participating in the peer interview process.You will develop the orientation manual and assist with orientation of new personnel.You will serve as a positive role model and resource for peers.What qualifications you will need :
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.CNA Training Program is required.Two or more years of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.One or more years of experience in an HCA facility is required.Or equivalent combination of education and / or experienceCNA certification with the state or Fundamentals of Nursing Course at an accredited school is required.Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.HCA Preceptor Training is required within 90 days of hire.If you find this opportunity compelling, we encourage you to apply for our Lead Patient Care Tech opening.
