DB2 Administrator (Kansas City)

Seeking an experienced DB2LUW database administrator to lead the setup, configuration and knowledge transfer of a new installation of IBM DB2LUW in AWS.

Location : Kansas City MO, Onsite work, locals preferred,

Assignment : 3 months - 5 months contract

Standardized Summary of Qualifications

• BA / BS degree in (Please choose Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline) preferred or 6-8 years of equivalent work experience in related technical disciplines
• Advanced degree a plus
• The minimum years of experience may be reduced for a candidate who has previously and continuously demonstrated highly effective performance
• Expertise with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word
• Mainframe IBM DB2 experience required
• In depth understanding of applicable products and / or services and of client needs and expectations
• Ability to demonstrate a questioning attitude toward established work processes and procedures
• Advanced knowledge, skills and experience to perform all work requirements for the specific technical discipline; Also proficient in advanced features and functions for the specific technical discipline
• Sound leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Model active learning through continuing to develop breadth of knowledge, skills, and perspective
• Excellent analytical abilities and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Education Requirement : At Minimum completion of High School Diploma or G.E.D., unless specified that a higher level of education is required for the position or stated otherwise in the job description.
