Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build core components of Stellar Core
  • Develop robust, scalable, and extensible systems for a global blockchain network
  • Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems with senior engineers and open-source contributors
  • Write clean, maintainable, and future-proof C++ code with strong edge-case analysis
  • Own and evolve critical subsystems within Stellar Core
  • Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and engineering best practices
  • Author detailed technical specifications and protocol RFCs

Required Profile

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong academic background in computer science or equivalent
  • Deep expertise writing modern C++ in production environments
  • Strong communicator able to lead technical discussions and reviews
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns and modular system design
  • Direct experience in blockchain, crypto protocols, or demonstrated active participation in Web3 communities

    • Bonus Experience

  • Experience designing and implementing distributed systems
  • Strong curiosity and understanding of blockchain and crypto fundamentals
  • Rust experience is a plus, though C++ is the primary language
