Are you an activity or recreational therapist passionate about working with patients in an inpatient setting? Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is looking for you! We are recruiting for Activity Therapist for PRN positions .

Position Summary

Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team by providing therapeutic activity services to adult and adolescent patients under the hospital’s care for emotional or substance abuse problems.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, occupational therapy) preferred. Certification or registration preferred.

Experience: One year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification: CPI/CPR certification required.

Other: Assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills; knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment; flexibility; time management and organization skills; teaching or training skills helpful; understanding of, or ability to understand DSM-5 methodology; able to meet deadlines.
