Direct Counsel is seeking an Environmental Associate Attorney (Mid-to-Senior Level) to join a national law firm across multiple U.S. offices.

Available Locations : Austin, Houston, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Washington, D.C.

Overview

Direct Counsel is recruiting a mid-to-senior level environmental associate attorney to join the Energy & Natural Resources – Environmental Practice Group. Candidates will focus on environmental, health, and safety-related matters, supporting clients across a variety of industries.

Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on environmental, health, and safety legal issues.

Manage and coordinate matters related to compliance, risk assessment, and regulatory review.

Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, permits, and other relevant documentation.

Collaborate with partners, clients, and cross-disciplinary teams on complex environmental matters.

Qualifications

5–7 years of environmental, health, and safety law experience.

JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in the state of practice.

Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this role is $295,000 – $390,000 , depending on experience and location.
