Piedmont Newton Hospital is a 103-bed, acute-care, community hospital in Covington, Georgia offering 24-hour emergency services, women’s services, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), an Intensivist-staffed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and general medical / surgical services. In May 2019, Piedmont Newton completed a $10 million expansion and renovation of the Emergency Department. The project doubled the department’s capacity from 16 beds to 32 beds, created an additional nurses’ station, and a room for higher acuity trauma cases.

Piedmont Eastside is a 305-bed, multi campus system of care offering comprehensive medical and surgical programs including cardiovascular, neurosciences, oncology, orthopedics, robotic surgery, rehabilitation, maternity with neonatal intensive care, behavioral health, bariatric, urgent care, and 24-hour emergency care at two locations (1700 Medical Way and 2160 Fountain Drive). Piedmont Eastside’s North Campus has 229 beds supporting acute care services, including a 46-bed emergency department. South Campus currently offers a 61-bed inpatient psychiatric center, 20-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility, and an 11-bed emergency department.
