Shift : 12 hr Nights 07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Job Type : Permanent

Guaranteed Hours : (36 hours / week)

Compensation : Based on experience (Negotiable)

Position Summary :

The Registered Nurse (RN) on the Inpatient Surgical Unit provides professional nursing care to post-operative and surgical patients in an acute care setting. The RN is responsible for assessing planning implementing and evaluating patient care while ensuring safety quality and optimal recovery outcomes. This role collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate and evidence-based care to adult and geriatric surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver and coordinate patient care in accordance with the nursing process and established hospital policies.
• Monitor assess and record patient condition and response to treatment.
• Administer medications perform treatments and assist physicians during procedures.
• Provide patient and family education on post-surgical care recovery and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Respond to emergencies and act as an advocate for patient safety and well-being.
• Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve quality safety and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications :
• Required :

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida OR a Compact RN License .

If a Compact License is held a Florida RN license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Will also consider candidates with Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) RN experience.

Previous experience in a surgical or inpatient hospital unit.
