Advanced Practice Provider - Advanced Heart Failure Team Lead - Piedmont Atlanta

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Team Lead to join our location at Piedmont Atlanta. This is a full-time position working variable shifts during the day.

Piedmont Heart Institute provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervises and provides leadership to a team of APP's daily including the responsibility for all staffing decisions for APPs in the Advanced Heart Failure team, including but not limited to the following :

a. Schedules & Recruitment

b. Annual reviews

c. Performance / behavior management

d. Management of yearly budget

e. Strategic planning for the service line including establishing goals / metrics along with performance evaluations, and interface with Physician leaders.

f. Compliance with annual training, flu shots, etc.

This position will largely function on an independent basis, and ideal candidates will have experience with limited supervision and work well independently.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

Masters or Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification

Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification.

Preferred Qualifications :

Two or more years of previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Experience :

3-5 years of acute care cardiology experience with strong Advanced Heart Failure skillsets (transplant, LVAD care experience) preferred. ?
