Description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement t he CT Technologist is responsible for operating the CT scanner and obtains diagnostic scans. Positions patients and administers oral and intravenous contrast agents for particular diagnostic procedures. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Job Functions :

• Operates the CT scanner to obtain diagnostic scans utilizing the scope of practice for medical imaging as defined by ARRT and ASRT and in compliance with the Ohio Department of Heath rules and regulations.
• Reviews each examination for technical accuracy.
• Proficient at transmitting images to PACS and scanning in appropriate documents.
• Rotates CT call.
• Checks for expiration dates on supplies and disposes of expired items.
• 75% attendance at department meetings.
• Schedules patients in conjunction with the Outpatient Scheduling Department.
• Maintains compliance in RQI.
• Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
