Job Summary

Flagship Culinary Services is currently seeking Dishwashers to support employee cafes for our client the largest social media company in the world!

Our Dishwashers enjoy great perks a set-schedule with weekends off and a welcoming fast-paced environment that provides on-the-job training for those looking to start a career in the culinary field.

The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes glassware flatware pots pants etc. using both machine and manual cleaning methods. This position will maintain kitchen work areas equipment and utensils in a clean and orderly condition. You will place clean dishes utensils and equipment in storage areas and will prepare and package individual place settings. May be directed by Managers to : Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations cupboards refrigerators and salad bars. Transfer by hand supplies and equipment between storage areas and work areas. Sort and remove trash placing it in designated pick up areas.

Essential Functions

Customer Service : provide the best customer service in a courteous fast and efficient manner. Accommodate all requests and special needs for guests andClients

Wash & Dry : the primary duty is to provide clean dishes and cooking equipment toguestsand kitchen crew. This includes washing and drying dishes glassware flatware and pots and pans by machine or hand

Load & Unload : must be able to load and unload the dish washing machinefrequently throughout the day

Cleanliness : maintain clean work areas and equipment; sweep and scrub floors

Stock : place clean dishes utensilsand cooking equipment in storage areas; prepare and package individual place settings

Trash : sort and remove trash placing it in designated pickup areas. Clean garbage cans with water or steam

Kitchen Support : clean and prepare various foods for cooking and serving; stock supplies in serving stations cupboards refrigerators and salad bars

Safety : maintain a clean and organized workspace. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures within set guidelines from OSHA HACCP and Department of Public Health and Risk Management and ensure your team is following guidelines as well

Knowledge and Skills

Previous experience in a high-volume full-service kitchen (preferred)

Excellent customer service skills

Sense of urgency and ability to move throughout the dish pit and kitchen in a safe manner

Ability to follow all company policies in areas of attendance safety and sanitation

Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to40lbs

Exposure to soap cleaning solutions and steam

Work Environment

The work environment for Dish Machine Operators includes the following large kitchen environment elements and exposures.

The noise level in the work environment is high.

The job operates in a corporate kitchen.

Fast paced kitchen frequently changing environment in which interruptions are considered normal.

Work environment involved constant exposure to working with chemicals.

Work environment entails constant exposure to food allergens such as milk egg nuts fish shellfish wheat and soy.

High sense of urgency.

Slippery / uneven surfaces may be encountered.
