Position Summary
Where You Will Work :
Applicants must be Colorado residents or able to relocate to Colorado within a month of starting employment with University of Colorado System Administration. Leadership may adjust in-office work requirements with a minimum of three months' notice before any change can be implemented.

Responsibilities / Duties
- Develops, troubleshoots, and supports production of the PeopleSoft Finance and Grants modules 24 / 7
- Develops, tests, debugs, modifies, and documents PeopleSoft enterprise application systems
- Consults with UIS management and team leads to implement maintenance and enhancement projects by providing essential information regarding PeopleSoft technology, functionality, and capabilities
- Gathers and analyzes requirements to create technical designs for system enhancements and / or process improvements, including development of new applications and customizations
- Coordinates end user system testing
- Creates or modifies applications using PeopleCode, PeopleTools, and other development / testing tools
- Creates and modifies technical documentation by writing / updating program, operations, and system documentation
- Assists campus key users, System Financials staff, and business process owners by answering technical questions
- Instructs key users on proper use and functionality of application programs through meetings requiring PeopleSoft functional / technical expertise
- Resolves application questions and reported software and data errors
- Analyzes complex processes to design new applications or enhancements and writes functional / technical specifications
- Writes new or modifies existing batch programs using a variety of languages and file access methods, including SQR / SQL
- Expands and maintains professional and technical skills by learning new technologies and tools
- Adheres to all University policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, information systems, or IT-related field, or equivalent professional experienceThree (3) years of PeopleSoft development experience, including :PeopleTools experience including Application Engine, Component Interfaces, PeopleCode, App Package, Fluid UI, Portal Technology, AWE, Work Centers, Dashboards, BI Publisher, Integration Broker, and Web ServicesExposure to CSS / UI styling for Fluid pages is desirablePreferred Qualifications :
Five (5) years of PeopleSoft development experience, including Finance or HCM modulesExperience with multiple PeopleSoft Finance 9.2 modulesPeopleTools 8.60+ experience (Application Designer, Page development, etc.)Experience with large-scale projects, upgrades, and production supportExperience in government or higher education settingsFamiliarity with development lifecycle methodologySQR coding, SQL for Oracle, and UNIX commandsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of information systems processes and best practicesKnowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft products, including functional knowledge of PeopleSoft Finance and GrantsStrong communication skills (oral, written, listening)Technical ability to assess complex data, learn new software, and understand programming languagesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to explain technical concepts in common termsAdaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environmentAbility to use Oracle databases for reporting performance issues and ad-hoc analysesAbility to apply Tax Updates and potentially unwanted modifications (PUM)Ability to create / use Dashboards, Work Centers, and Fluid UI technologiesAbility to create technical documents (TDDs, flow charts, BP diagrams)How to Apply
