Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a day shift position in a Level III trauma acute care setting.
Responsibilities
Work in a short-term acute care hospital Cath LabLevel III trauma center with a total of 244 staffed bedsTypical daily caseload is 12 casesStart times may be 6 : 00 AM or 7 : 00 AMShifts are either 4x10s or 5x8s, day hours from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PMCall required every 3rd weekend and 1-2 days per week, with holiday call requiredWeekend requirements are for call onlyPotential to float to IR if proficient and to affiliate hospitals depending on census / volumeUses Cerner charting and Cerner experience is requiredScrub color is blueFirst-time travelers will be consideredMust be willing to work at least one of the three major holidays if requesting RTO during the holiday periodMay be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals based on censusMust be gone three years before returning as a traveler if previously employedUnprofessional conduct or excessive call-offs may lead to immediate contract terminationNo parking costsTravelers may call off up to twice per assignment; after a third occurrence, the contract is subject to review by unit managementPre-assignment online training modules are self-reported and must be completed within one week of signingRequirements
Minimum of 1 year Cath Lab experience requiredCurrent state license required by start date; pending state license accepted if active by startRCIS preferred but not requiredCerner charting experience requiredWillingness to participate in necessary licensure processesMust live at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)Must provide two professional references from supervisors within the past two yearsCompletion of up to 8 hours of required online modules prior to startLicense required if applicableBenefits
