POSITION SUMMARY :
Provide support to Store Development team by preparing space allocation drawings using computer aided design and drafting (CAD) tools, assimilating redline drawings into master CAD files and managing master CAD files to ensure accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with technical and application teams to identify, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions to support project requirements. Independently create or modify facility plans and drawings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
COLLABORATION
- Design floor plans, elevations, and realistic renderings with the assistance of software
- Coordinate with project management to make modifications and corrections to project specific documents
- Examine project documents for completeness and accuracy
- Make corrections to drawings as requested by senior staff
- Create and update database of design records for future reference
- Work with project team to execute projects on time and on budget
DESIGN AND SOFTWARE
Use engineering software (Autodesk) and equipment to perform engineering tasksRead and understand 2D and 3D drawingsAttend design / coordination meetings during pre-developmentUtilize software programs and templates to process, distribute, track and update to manage all project documentationRecognize the areas of the facilities life cycle, including design, construction, renovation and space managementENGAGEMENT
Review design layouts to find and resolve problems involving compatibility with basic design conceptsStay up to date with industry CAD standards and best practicesMaintain proficiency in current version of AutoCAD softwareAssist with project cost review, reporting, updating, and accountingAttend drawing and submittal reviewAttend site meetingsMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS :
